At Flipkart, the chief product and technology officer, Jeyandran Venugopal, remarked,
Innovation and foray in the Web3 space is focused towards driving engagement between brands, businesses, enterprises, and their communities. We are delighted to join hands with Nothing to bring our customers into the Web3 playground with the very first NFT drop at Flipkart FireDrops, hosted on Polygon’s blockchain.
Also, the vice president of growth at Polygon, Arjun Kalsy, envisions that NFTs may entirely transform the eCommerce experience by giving way to verifiable digital ownership and driving enhanced community engagement.
Through these NFTs, buyers can grab early access to events, new products, and special gifts by the firm.
Flipkart also unlocked some unique benefits for phone buyers and customers with pre-bookings, which include the redemption of the NFTs from the Flipkart mobile app via the FireDrops feature and early access to offline events.
FireDrops by Flipkart highlights the eCommerce brand’s attempt into the NFT and Web3 ecosystem. From July 22, it will be available on the Flipkart app.
